Recovering Your Forgotten Android Phone Password

With Android being one of the most widely used mobile device operating systems, we have focused on how to recover your forgotten Android device pattern or password. You don’t need to be a computer expert to restore your password.

By the end of this tutorial, you will be able to reset your Android password to something that you can easily remember.

Let’s get right into it.


If you enter the incorrect pattern or password on your Android Phone a number of consecutive times, the screen will lock and only allow you to re-attempt after 30 seconds. So what do you do if you don’t remember your password any more?  Below we explain how to go about resetting your password/pattern.
NB. Works with all versions of android

Step 1 – Locate forgotten password button

Tap on the ‘Forgot pattern?’ button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 2 – Enter your email address

On this screen, enter your email address and password to sign into your email account. This will give you access to reset your pattern via email.

Step 3 – Record your new lock pattern

Once your are signed into your email account, your Android device will automatically proceed to a screen where you can now draw and record your new unlock pattern. Once recorded, tap the ‘Continue’ button at the bottom of the screen.

Step 4 – Finally, confirm your new lock pattern

Enter your new unlock pattern again to confirm it. Tap the ‘Confirm’ button at the bottom of the screen.
